Feel the heat/ Friday, January 13, 2006
A while ago I was drinking juice. A Sunkist classic apple juice to be exact (the one in tetra packs and usually sold in sari-sari stores). Then, while I was drinking it, I remembered something and laughed. My mom looked at me in a way like “Are you out of your mind? Laughing all by yourself”. I remembered a classmate of mine back in 4th year, JM. I told my mom the reason why I was laughing and she also found it amusing and laughed with me. Curious? Ok, I’ll tell you the whole story.
Flashback…
In about a month we’re going to have a family day. None of us were excited. Every level was asked to bring something which was written in the parent’s bulletin. Our batch was assigned to bring 2 boxes of juice and surprisingly, JM was the first one to bring from our class. (In our batch don’t expect anything from most of the boys especially bringing stuff like that!)
JM: Ms. Flor, yan ah! Maydala na ‘kong juice!
He brought a SUNKIST classic orange fruit drink. After showing it to our adviser, he placed it beside his chair. Then, he forgot all about it. The family day passed. JM forgot to give the juice to Ms. Flor.
JM: Ay, shit! Nakalimutan ko ibigay juice ko!
Well, sayang naman if it’ll go to waste. Kaya we drank it nalang. Tsktsk. Imagine that! And to think, he was proud that he was able to bring juice (for the first time?) and the first one in class pa! (Hehe)
